The Last Comic has foundered. Unfortunately the supremely talented Fabio is also supremely short on free time and, as such, is unable to work with us on the Last Comic at the kind of pace we need. We hope we'll be able to work with him in the future but for now we need a new artist.

Here's the deal,

Lastwear is only the clothing branch of the Larger project called Last. A big chunk (if not the core focus) of what we're doing is centered around storytelling and at the core of this (at least to begin with) will be an online/print comic.

Trouble is we're short of an artist.

The person we're looking needs to have the following:

1. Ability and time to turn out at least 1 full color, print quality page a week.
2. Excellent rendering skills, especially for clothing and human anatomy.
3. Good communication skills, both artistically and personally.
4. Experience following art direction.
5. Have the necesary tools/experience to produce finished work in .psd format.
6. Ability to speak, or a willingness to learn Esperanto.

Details about the position.

Firstly and most importantly we are looking for someone who has an interest in becoming a long term member of the Last crew and is willing to work for product and minimal financial compensation during the early stages of this project.
As such a diversity of skills and experience will be of benefit. As Last aims to become an highly diversified employee owned company, possession of knowledge in the following areas will be extremely valuable (although an abiding desire to learn is the only essential).

Psychology
Comparative religion
Physics, Chemistry and Biology (particularly High energy physics and neuro chemistry)
Political systems
Economics
Art History
General History
Agriculture (particularly inter cropping and bio-intensive farming methods)
Any other esoteric knowledge

As for the comic itself we currently have the first 30 or so pages blocked out and in need of art. You will be responsible for the majority of the layout and framing, we will provide dialog and narration for the story.
You will need to be able to absorb the Lastwear design aesthetic and incorporate it into your work.
All work will need to be in Photoshop format for the final pieces, in CMYK and with line art and colors on separate layers.
A reasonable understanding of clothing will be important as much of your work, not directly based on current designs, will likely become future designs.
The Comic itself will be released under a Creative Commons Attribution/Share Alike License and as such, whilst Last will retain rights to the work, you will be at liberty to put any work you do with us to any other use you see fit.
